A lovely day for a ride.....

Our barn is very serene and quite during the day and is a great place to go as a stress reliever and also for some time to spend with your horses on a Summer's Day! Since we do self-care we go out every single day to take care of our guys and also the sixteen other horses at the gentlemen's barn where we board at! Everybody is different in their own way and has their own personalities and quarks that every horse owner loves (I'm sure)! When all the horses have gotten their dinner and have been groomed, checked over for any bruises or scrapes, feet picked to check for rocks or bruises, flysprayed (flymasked) and loved on for the night everybody goes back up in the field to eat the fresh moist grass.
My favorite part of the day when everything is put back, barn swept and doors shut! I go up to the field and sit in a chair to spend time with the horses! I have my "Palomino Pony" sitting right next to me and he's so happy and serene I hop on it back and go for a ride up in the field! Right now with "Big Ben" I am teaching him to do mounted riding at liberty! No bridle, no saddle, no nothing! Just my relationship with him and my communication with him, along with my excellent leg aids that I have practiced with him over the years!
