Betty the most very unique horse......

Most horses that I have worked with are not as far stubborn or misunderstood as this gal, Sun's Pocco Betty is her full registered name! Betty is a dark bay all american registered brood mare quarter horse, she is eight years old and has a lot of work ahead of her!
When we first moved to this beautiful barn, Betty would not come up to you or even acknoledge that you were there! She would work herself up to be able to run away from you. She was a super difficult horse to work with, but I saw the good in her and saw that she just didn't understand because nobody had really taken the time to understand her so therefore she just didn't take the time to understand people! As I look back to the first couple of days doing groundwork with Betty she was very timid and shy she didn't know what I wanted her to do. But as of now I see that she is the sweetest horse and one of my favorite horses to work with in the whole barn! Betty has truly grown on me, at first I wasn't too sure about her but now as I look at how much better and how far she has gotten I come to understand her more as a horse, I learn to trust her in a way that I really couldn't before! "Sometimes the most difficult horses are the ones that will be your companion for life, and most always they are the ones that offer you the most."
Many people don't want to take the time to understand difficult horses, but sometimes the most difficult horses are the ones that will always follow your shadow no matter what obstacle your face or what direction you decide to go they are always there! When we go out to bring the horses in mostly in the evenings she is the first one that is waiting her turn by the field door, she is the first one to put her nose in the halter and follow me to her stall. She may not be the most beautiful or be the most friendly but to me she is a one of a kind gem and the kind of horse that you don't come across everyday! I really and truly love her!
