Lenah.....
Here at our barn there are about sixteen horses that I help work with and train for their owners. There is one horse that I choose to focus on that I would consider a part of our family.... Her name is Lenah and she is a ten year old, used to be broodmare, chestnut quarter horse with a very bold stripe all over her face- She too has the kindest eyes, next to Betty! I have worked with her and trained her to be able to have riders on her back again, the owner of the barn had told me that she had not been riden in a while, so I decided to help him out and start to train her. I do tons of groundwork with her each and every day that we would go out to the barn! I would work with her and teach her new things that she hadn't done in a while. It was a really neat experience because as of now she is the best behaved horse in the barn, when we let her in she is the first one down to the field door, and she knows exactly where her stall is. She is really and truly a dream to ride and work with!
This is me getting ready to ride her, I always make sure I have my helmet on at all times! Safety first!
Before I ride anybody I always like to practice groundwork with her, here I am desentitizing her with the tarp tied to the saddle, so she can get used to scary noises if she was to go on a trail ride!
She did so good under saddle that I decided to ride her bareback bridless and tackless! She is such a kind horse!
Another picture under saddle!
She is the kindest horse ever!
I am so blessed to have the privledge to work each different and unique horse everyday!
Thank you for reading!
